G20: Trump flips on Huawei after ‘great meeting’

Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping have announced another truce in the US-China trade war after an 80-minute bilateral meeting at the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan. She argues that Beijing doesn’t expect President Trump to actually allow Huawei back into the US and that the apparent change in his stance on the Chinese telecomm giant is a political gesture aimed at helping his reelection campaign.
