If you were asked to describe the United States’ relationship with the other countries of the world, which three words would you choose? “Constructive, strategic, and stable” are almost certainly not near the top of your list, and yet, according to Presidents Trump and Xi, these three words will form the basis of the US-China relationship going forward.
