Rent Crisis Worsens, Record High Unemployment Continues

The CDC has frozen evictions until January 2021 as new numbers show 12.6 million people are continuing to receive unemployment insurance. This comes as a new survey shows nearly a third of renters in single family or small multifamily properties, were unable to pay their rent in August. The primary reason given for not being able to pay is a loss of employment or reduced income, amid the coronavirus pandemic. Lawmakers remain deadlocked on a new relief package. To take a deeper look at all of this, we are joined by RT America reporter Faran Fronczak. | Just Press Play has that segment and the best of other in-depth reports, exclusive interviews and controversial issues you may have missed during the week on RT America.
