At least 11 people have died and dozens have been injured after protests turned violent in Colombia this week. The uproar came in response to the death of a man at the hands of police, after a viral video showed him begging for mercy. Police brutality also has sparked protests in the United States. Friday marks 19 years since the September 11 attacks, now known as 9/11, took place in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
