Rallies are taking place across the United States Friday in honor of Juneteenth. This comes as protests against systemic violence have raged for more than three weeks. Russia has moved to lift a ban on the messaging app Telegram, which drew praise from users and criticism from governments for its use of end-to-end encryption. But even with the ban in place, the app was still widely used, raising questions about both the reasoning and the timing behind the latest decision. RT America’s Rachel Blevins has the details.
