DC mayor calls on Trump to remove National Guard

Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has been calling on President Trump to remove federal agents and the National Guard from the protest-stricken city. Mayor Bowser does not have the authority to dismiss National Guard units from the demonstrations due to DC's peculiar status, but she is looking to invoke an esoteric and unusual constitutional amendment. Attorney and media analyst Lionel weighs in. As the US enters the twelfth day of demonstrations since the death of George Floyd, protests in the country remain largely peaceful. But there are still some pockets of violence between riot police and demonstrators.
