Nearing zero poverty, China celebrates National Day

Tuesday marks 70 years since the Communist Party of China ousted the UK and US from Chinese territory. RT America’s Julie Varughese has the story. Beijing officials celebrated National Day as protests intensified in the former British colony Hong Kong in what’s being called a “day of rage”. Riots continue in Haiti as demonstrators demand the resignation of the country’s president over corruption, inflation and fuel shortage. Venezuela’s president Nicolas Maduro has called Colombian president Ivan Duque a liar and Trump’s puppet. Opposition leader Juan Guaido denounced Maduro's statement and praised Duque for his criticism of the democratically-elected government.
