Trump flaunts US military muscle on July 4
Thousands turned out on the National Mall in Washington, DC to witness US President Donald Trump's "Salute to America" speech on July 4, or Independence Day. The president flexed the country's military might and praised America as the "greatest political journey in human history.” But at a time when Americans don their stars and stripes and sing “America the Beautiful,” thousands of migrants remain in US custody along the border with Mexico. Aftershocks from a magnitude 6.4 earthquake are still being felt across southern California. In San Francisco, a controversial George Washington mural on display at a high school will soon be gone due to complaints about racist imagery.
