Pentagon prepares for another Middle East war

The Pentagon is set to present plans to the White House of sending over 10,000 troops to the Middle East. While there is no specification of which country, many believe that Iran will be the target. RT’s Dan Cohen has the story. There are reports warn that China could respond to latest trade war steps from the US by banning exports of rare earth elements, which could affect the economy from all angles. RT’s Rachel Blevins breaks this down. In New York, the administrative trial of officer Daniel Pantaleo, who used the banned chokehold that killed Eric Garner in 2014, is on a two-week hiatus. Over in Texas, a recent altercation between a policeman and a 44-year-old Black woman, Pam Turner, turned deadly. This happened despite his knowledge she had schizophrenia. Now both events have re-opened old wounds about the heavy hand police take with Black Americans. Salon’s editor-at-large D Watkins and conservative commentator Steve Malzberg join a panel to discuss police brutality against Black people in America.
