Sandra Bland video stunner highlights racial inequality
More than a year after US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal, President Hassan Rouhani announced Iran is partially withdrawing, setting a 60-day deadline for European partners to negotiate new terms. RT’s Dan Cohen has the latest on the story. Nicholas Davies, author of "Blood on our Hands: The American Invasion and Destruction of Iraq," chats with RT America’s Manila Chan to break down just what the White House may be planning for Iran. Almost four years after the mysterious jail-cell death of Sandra Bland, a 28-year-old African-American woman, new footage has emerged that raises more questions. Police have now released a video of the confrontation she had captured on her phone. Her hanging death after three days in jail was ruled a suicide, but many activists questioned that explanation. Her family’s attorney says he didn’t even see the footage until a journalist showed him. Joining us now to discuss is Rebecca Bonhomme, an organizer with Pan-African Community Action. Thanks to an investigative report by the Daily Caller, it now appears YouTube allows videos of children as young as six, in lingerie and in sexualized poses that actually serve as advertisements for child pornography sites found on the so-called "dark net" side of the Internet. For more on this, RT America’s Manila Chan turns to the author of this report, video journalist Caitlin McFall.
