British PM May’s Future in Question & Wildfires Pose Toxic Risk in California

RT correspondent Anastasia Churkina reports on recent shakeups in British Prime Minister Theresa May’s cabinet, as multiple ministers resigned on Thursday in protest of her negotiated Brexit agreement. Host Anya Parampil then speaks with Former UK MP George Galloway, asking how much longer May can hold on to power and whether or not Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn anticipated her deal would fail all along. Next, Anya brings an update on Gaza, where the Israeli Army shot and killed a fisherman on Wednesday, violating the most recent ceasefire agreement less than 24 hours after it was declared. Israeli peace activist Miko Peled, author of Injustice: The Story of the Holy Land Foundation Five, joins Anya to discuss whether or not Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s governing coalition is threatened in light of the resignation of Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman. Later, RT correspondent Natasha Sweatte reveals an underreported threat posed by wildfires in California, as one blaze now threatens the Santa Susana Field Lab, which stores nuclear waste. Cindy Folkers, Radiation and Health Hazard Specialist with Beyond Nuclear, tells Anya why she doesn’t believe enough evidence has been presented by local officials who claim the site is safe.
