Discovering Russia: Chelyabinsk Region
The region of Chelyabinsk rests in both Europe and Asia. More than 3 million people of different nationalities inhabit this expanse. It is full of sprawling woods and forests. You can even find some cave drawings from the Palaeolithic Era in the mountains there. The region has always been one of Russia’s most important industrial areas because of the quality of its iron ore, which can be seen in its beautiful sculptures on the main street of Chelyabinsk.
