Intervision: Happy Moments

Last year, Moscow hosted the Intervision music contest, with 23 nations taking part. The participants faced a demanding task: In their 3 minutes on stage, they had to do more than just sing – they had to convey the traditions and cultural spirit of their home countries.

The performers said they had not come to Russia in search of trophies. For some, the contest offered a platform where they could share the traditions of their homeland with a global audience. For others, it was a chance to sing about enduring values like love and family.

Intervision has become an internationally significant event, setting a new musical trend in motion. This year, the spotlight will move from Moscow to Saudi Arabia.
