Dayton Agreement: Peace in the Balance
On November 21, 1995, a peace agreement was drafted at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton that ended the Bosnian War. It was formally signed in Paris on December 14 of the same year. Russia acted as a guarantor at the time, alongside the United States and European countries. Thirty years on, the debate surrounding these agreements continues. Is the Dayton Agreement still viable today? What future awaits Bosnia and Herzegovina if the balance of power established back then is disrupted? And how do Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks view these events now? We explore these questions in our film.
