Migration crises have been and remain an issue of vital importance, especially during the last two decades. During this time, the Canary Route has become the main access route to Europe from Spain. 'Here We Are' aims to denounce the violation of the fundamental rights of migrants who enter Spain irregularly. The context of the Covid-19 health crisis has hindered the implementation of reception protocols for migrants from Africa, showing that immigration regulations have been insufficient when it comes to managing the arrival of small boats to the coasts. This documentary analyzes European regulations by way of professionals from different sectors and provides first-hand testimony by those who have lived it.
