Babel Village 

One man’s creative vision has transformed a community of farmers into a center for modern art. Russian artist Nikolay Polissky has turned his village into an art colony where residents aid him in creating monumental nature-inspired sculptures. His works, which are made of natural, local materials, are reminiscent of ancient and modern buildings. Twice a year, the village holds the largest Land-Art festival in Russia – Archstoyanie – which attracts tourists and creative people from all over the world.
