I’m Sameer from Damascus

After five years of Syria’s devastating civil war, the country’s capital, Damascus remains a shelter for people who refuse to flee their motherland. Yet, even here no one is really safe, shells strike streets and buildings regularly. Sameer is a local cameraman who continues his work in spite of the danger. Through his lens, we’re shown the reality of everyday life for ordinary Syrians.
