Ukrainian refugees

Thousands of civilians are fleeing Ukraine’s towns and villages that are subject to Kiev government airstrikes. They’re abandoning their homes, parting with relatives and leave their motherland behind. They don’t know what lies ahead, except that they and their children will be safe from the horrors of war. As they travel to cross the border into Russia, refugees share first-hand accounts of indiscriminate violence and atrocities of a military conflict that forced them to run, quite literally, for their lives. In place of shells and bombs they’ve chosen homelessness and the chance to seek shelter in a foreign country.
