Winning an Oscar for Precious was not Mo'Nique's Childhood Dream
Mo'Nique started as a stand up comedy and now has a new stand up you can stream on Showtime called Mo'Nique and Friends at the ATL. Monique had a huge break out with her Academy Award winning role in the independent film "Precious." But Mo'Nique says this was not her childhood dream because growing up she never saw people that looked like her win an Oscar.
