US droning on in Pakistan, extradition hypocrisy, terror on the border?

On this episode of Breaking the Set, Abby Martin calls out the State Department for its empty rhetoric in addressing questions over when America will end its deadly drone campaign in Pakistan. Abby then talks to Julia Davis, a former Customs and Border Protection officer, about her experience being named a ‘domestic terrorist’ after blowing the whistle on how the DHS mistakenly lets ‘persons of interest’ cross America’s borders. Abby then calls out both the corporate media and the political establishment for suggesting that Russia granted asylum to Edward Snowden to ‘insult’ the United States, citing the hypocrisy of the US government blatantly ignoring extradition requests from other countries. BTS wraps up the show with an interview with Peter Joseph, founder of the Zeitgeist movement, about the upcoming Zeitgeist festival, the importance of art and imagination in society, and how to bridge art with social change.
