Monsanto’s Africa takeover, guitars for prisoners, more Hurricane Sandys to come?

The first anniversary of Hurricane Sandy and the $51 billion that Congress allotted for recovery efforts has largely stayed out of the hands of victims - politicians are doing virtually nothing to combat climate change which will lead to similar storms. Ali Masmadi of Food Sovereignty Ghana talks about efforts to fight back against Monsanto and other giant ag-corps from eradicating traditional sustainable agriculture all across Africa. Saudi Arabia’s extensive human rights abuse record and tyrannical theocracy - open discrimination against women, public execution for petty crimes and harsh sentencing for government critics. And Wayne Kramer, co-founder of Jail Guitar Doors, a program that distributes musical instruments to prisoners across the US, discusses the benefits of rehabilitation using art and music and the injustice of the current system of incarceration.
