US jobs, Fed hikes and Paul Craig Roberts on the shrinking middle class

An upbeat October labor report for the US shows the economy added 271,000 jobs. That’s the strongest pace of employment we’ve seen this year. Now everyone expects a Fed rate hike in December. And President Obama has now officially rejected the Keystone XL pipeline deal, based mostly on environmental concerns of global warming. Ameera David weighs in.

Then, Boom Bust’s Bianca Facchinei sits down with to Paul Craig Roberts, chairman of the Institute for Political Economy and former Treasury assistant secretary in the Reagan administration, to talk about the US economy. He says the US middle class is shrinking due to the average family income being lower than it was in 1995. Paul also discusses the cause behind this and whether there's a solution.

After the break, Ameera sits down with Danielle DiMartino Booth, the Chief Market Strategist at the Liscio Report and a former top Advisor for the head of the Dallas Fed, to talk about the Fed and the US housing market. And in The Big Deal, Ameera and Boom Bust’s Edward Harrison talk about the jobs report, the Fed and negative interest rates in Europe.
