Raoul Pal on the weakening macro picture and the best clips of Yanis Varoufakis
US economic growth slowed sharply in the fourth quarter. GDP rose by an annualized rate of 2.6% in the fourth quarter – sharply below Wall Street’s expectations. The slowdown followed two back-to-back quarters of bullish growth, but many analysts believe the slowdown will be short-lived. Erin weighs in with her own perspective.
Then, Erin sits down with Raoul Pal – founder of Real Vision TV and Global Macro Investor. Raoul tells us if he thinks Europe is slipping into a Japanese-like deflation and gives us his take on recently weak earnings numbers.
After the break we feature highlights of Erin’s previous interviews with Yanis Varoufakis – Greece’s newly-elected finance minister. In the past week, Yanis has been referred to as a tough talking “radical” -- but his ideas and opinions expressed on Boom Bust might suggest otherwise.
And in The Big Deal, Erin is joined by Edward Harrison and Bianca Facchinei to go over viewer feedback posted on social media. Take a look!
