This week, Alex is in conversation with one of the world’s leading economists, Professor David Blanchflower, of Dartmouth College, New Hampshire. Blanchflower applauds the new Biden initiative to help the poor in the US, claiming it is the most revolutionary measure since Roosevelt’s New Deal. And he warns the UK against any attempt to return to the dark days of austerity measures in an attempt to fix the catastrophic economic fallout from Covid.
