Just a modest official

During his official visit to France, Vladimir Putin spoke about his relations with Nicolas Sarkozy, getting a few laughs and applause from the audience in the process.

He said that he is still on first-name terms with the french president, adding: “Our personal relations have not suffered despite him being a big boss and me just a modest official of the Russian administration. I wish that you could have friends that do not turn their back on you if you change to a more modest job.”
