First Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential candidate Dmitry Medvedev Dmitry Medvedev is in his hometown for the weekend. This isn’t a homecoming, but business as usual.

Medvedev is in charge of Russia’s four key national projects – health, housing, education and agriculture. And Saturday was all about the latter.

On the outskirts of the St. Petersburg Medvedev visited one of the biggest milk and vegetable factories.

Aleksandra Mishyuk is 25. She has been working at the factory for six months as a goat-carer right after graduating from an agricultural university and having a baby. She says at this farm, all animals are equal.

Medvedev was pleased with the grand tour of the factory. He said results of the last years are positive. Problems still exist, but hopes are up that they will be solved.
