Wanted: Red blogger

Wanted: Red blogger
Leader of the Communist Party (KPRF) and presidential candidate Gennady Zyuganov has launched an all-Russian competition of political and civil internet projects.

This will include five nominations: Red Blogger, Social Aid, Cultural Breakthrough, Information Source of the Future and Fair Elections.

“We see that the leadership today is not showing any aspiration towards openness, or holding fair elections. And we want any violations during the poll to be recorded in social networks,” Zyuganov said at a meeting with bloggers, cited by Interfax.

The preliminary results of the competition will be announced on May 5, on the 100th anniversary of the Pravda daily (once the main Soviet newspaper).

The public council of the competition is comprised of bloggers from Russia’s eight largest cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk.
