‘They are arming Europe so much that the only way out they have is to do a war’ - Lorenzo Maria Pacini

‘They are arming Europe so much that the only way out they have is to do a war - and it might be a nuclear one’ - Lorenzo Maria Pacini, Associate Professor of Political Philosophy and Geopolitics at UniDolomiti of Belluno.

On the latest ‘Sanchez Effect’, Rick sits down with two professors at the Valdai Discussion Club to dissect a fracturing global order. Mr. Pacini is not optimistic, saying European elites have launched a massive cognitive operation against their own citizens. They have bought into their own anti-Russian rhetoric so deeply that they are arming Europe into a corner where conflict feels like the only logical outcome.

Emeritus Professor of History at University College Cork, Geoffrey Roberts is more positive – saying it’s hard to believe in a nuclear conflict – but they both agree it’s the Russian restraint to thank for the management of escalation, not the Western warmongering provocations.

Is Europe blindly marching into a conflict its own people don’t want, or will Washington pull back the reins before it’s too late? Tune in to the latest episode to learn more.

Sanchez Effect is a journalistic rebellion. RT’s flagship program is led by Rick Sanchez, the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning newsman who’s made a career out of defying the status quo. “When only one side of a story is permitted, that’s when I push harder. If Moscow is deemed off-limits, it’s precisely where I want to be. Because more often than not, truth resides in the places we’re told not to look.”
