Russian President Vladimir Putin is attending a summit of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) leaders in Awaza, Turkmenistan.
The leaders are expected to review cooperation within the bloc, which marks its 35th anniversary this year, set priorities for future collaboration, and discuss pressing international and regional issues.
Several agreements are expected to be signed to strengthen cooperation in law enforcement, culture, humanitarian affairs and information technology, as well as coordinate foreign policy among CIS member states.
