Japan to cooperate with Russia on N. Korea – ambassador

Japan will continue to cooperate with the international community, including Russia, on the issue of settlement and denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula, Japanese Ambassador to Russia Toyohisa Kozuki told TASS. The issue of ensuring peace and security in the region should be discussed by all interested countries, including Japan, the envoy said in an interview. Kozuki stressed the need to urge Pyongyang to take concrete measures. The Japanese diplomat also reaffirmed Tokyo’s intention to continue supporting the US-North Korea negotiation process.
