German soldier dies in armored vehicle accident during drills in Lithuania

A Bundeswehr soldier was killed during the war games in the city of Pabrade, the Lithuanian Defense Ministry confirmed. The incident took place when an armored vehicle, driven by the serviceman, crashed into a tree. The exercise dubbed Beowulf started in late September and involves some 600 soldiers from Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic and Luxembourg.
