Hospital in W. Sydney on lockdown, knife-wielding man shot by police – reports

The Nepean Hospital, west of Sydney, has been on lockdown following reports of a shooting. A man reportedly pulled a knife inside the entrance of the hospital building before being shot in the abdomen by police or security officers. Paramedics are treating one person at the scene for a gunshot wound, local media say. The suspect is alive and currently under arrest. His motives are still unknown.
