Teen killed, another wounded in ‘gun battle’ near school in California

A 16-year old was killed and an 18-year old critically wounded on Friday in a “gun battle” between two groups near Armijo High School in Fairfield, California, ABC7 News reported, citing the local police department. Two people were arrested. One of the suspects tried to hide in the school after the shooting, but was apprehended, while another was arrested at a local residence. The school was placed on lockdown and evacuated. Police have not yet confirmed whether the victims or the suspects were students at the school.
