Author of Russian cosmonauts’ unofficial anthem dies at 85

Vladimir Voynovich, Russian author, poet, journalist and dissident, who wrote the lyrics for the unofficial anthem of Russian cosmonauts “14 minutes to lift-off” has died from a heart attack, his family reported. Voynovich is also known for his satirical trilogy “The Life and Extraordinary Adventures of Private Ivan Chonkin” and for his dystopian novel “Moscow 2042”.
