Israel launches missile at a drone approaching from Syria

The Israeli Defense Forces launched a US Patriot missile on Sunday at a drone coming towards the Israeli border from Syria. According to an IDF spokesperson, the drone was identified by an aerial defense system prior to its entry into Israel. As the missile was fired, the drone retreated without being hit. A pro-Assad commander said the unmanned aerial vehicle was engaged in operations in southern Syria.
