5.9 earthquake hits western Japan
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.9 has hit north of Osaka Prefecture in western Japan, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. There were no immediate reports of damage of injuries, and no tsunami warning has been issued.
