US, Jordan agree to hold meeting with Russia on Syria’s southern zone of de-escalation – Moscow
Moscow is continuing bilateral contacts with Jordan and the United States over the southern zone of de-escalation in Syria, and there is an agreement to hold a trilateral meeting, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said on Tuesday. “In principle, we supported the idea of holding a trilateral meeting at a level convenient for our partners,” he told reporters in Moscow. Bogdanov, who is also the special presidential representative for the Middle East and African countries, said that the faster such a meeting could take place, the better.
