Palestinian President Abbas to stay in hospital another day – doctor

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will be staying another day in the hospital, his doctor Yasser Abu Safiyeh said, reversing his previous statement that the 82-year old would be discharged later on Sunday. Safiyeh hasn’t provided a reason for the president remaining in hospital for an extra day. Abbas was hospitalized earlier in May after undergoing minor ear surgery.
