Russian FM Lavrov calls off visit to G20 ministerial summit

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will not attend a forthcoming meeting of G20 foreign ministers, the ministry said on Saturday, as cited by media. “The foreign minister will not visit Argentina and Cuba on the scheduled date due to a series of events linked to the work of the newly formed government,” a spokesperson told journalists, adding that the G20 summit would be attended by one of the deputy foreign ministers, without providing further details.
