Top Russian, German diplomats to meet in Moscow on May 10 – foreign ministry

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas will visit Moscow on May 10 to discuss the situation in eastern Ukraine, Syria, and German-Russian relations with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, the German Foreign Ministry said Tuesday. A source in the Russian Foreign Ministry also told TASS that the talks are scheduled to be held in the Russian capital on May 10. Maas was appointed German Foreign Minister in March. Lavrov and Maas held their first telephone discussion in late April to discuss Syria and further steps on Donbass within the Normandy format, which includes Russia, Ukraine, Germany, and France.
