6.4 quake strikes off coast of eastern Indonesia
A magnitude 6.4 earthquake has struck off the coast of Indonesia’s Tanimbar Islands according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). The quake rocked an area 214 kilometres northwest of Saumlaki just after 8pm (UTC). The earthquake occurred at a depth of 171.5 kilometers, according to the USGS. There were no initial reports of injuries or damage.
