At least 16 dead as lightning strikes Rwanda church

At least 16 people were killed and dozens more injured after lightning hit a Seventh-Day Adventist church in the Southern Province of Rwanda, AFP reported on Sunday, citing local mayor Habitegeko Francois. Fourteen victims died on the spot, while two more succumbed to their injuries later. Some 140 people were sent to a local hospital after the incident and many have been already discharged, while three victims remain in critical condition.
