Saudi Arabia again closes land border to Qatar

Saudi Arabia has closed its only border with Qatar, according to an Anadolu report. The Salwa border gate was closed upon instructions by the Saudi Customs Directorate, it said. The gate was initially closed two weeks after a diplomatic crisis broke out between Qatar and its Gulf neighbors on June 5. The border, however, was reopened in August for the passage of Qatari pilgrims. It has been kept open since then “for humanitarian reasons.”
