US airstrikes killed five Al-Qaeda militants in Yemen, including two leaders, US Central Command said in a statement on Friday. The strikes took place on November 20 in the Bayda Governorate, and resulted in the deaths of Mujahid al-Adnani (also known as Mohammad Shukri) and Abu Layth al-Sanaani, along with three other militants of the Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), CENTCOM said.
