Iraq Supreme Court rules Kurdish referendum unconstitutional
Iraq’s Supreme Federal Court ruled on Monday that a referendum held on Kurdish independence on September 25 was unconstitutional, Reuters reported, citing a court official. The court also said that the results of the vote were void. The federal court is responsible for settling disputes between Iraq’s central government and regions including Kurdistan.
