6.6 earthquake strikes Papua New Guinea
A 6.6 magnitude earthquake has struck Papua New Guinea, the US Geological Survey reports. The quake, which hit some 70km southwest of the town of Angoram, happened about 112 km underground. There's been no tsunami warning or immediate reports of casualties or damages.
