“A city terrorist is a guy like us”
Dmitry Evstafyev from the Russian Center for Policy Studies believes that acts like the recent railroad blast underlines the notion that city terrorism is displacing other kinds of terrorism in Russia.
“What we should understand is that we are shifting from the guerrilla terrorist warfare to the city terrorist warfare,” Evstafyev told RT. “The basic difference between those two is that the guerrilla terrorist lives outside society, but a city terrorist is a guy like us – he lives in society, he walks around the streets, so, it is a very serious security challenge for Russia nowadays.”
