Ship with Russians on board detained in Melbourne
A steamboat from Vladivostok with a Russian crew on board is being held in Melbourne. The International Transport Workers’ Federation made the recommendation to the Australian government to confine the ship to port after they became aware of contract viol
According to the ITF, the sailors have also been paid extremely low wages – less than $US 100 a week.
