Russian-North Korean talks in Moscow

The Russian and North Korean delegations in the six-Party talks have met in Moscow. The Deputy Foreign Minister of North Korea Kim Kye-gwan had arrived from Berlin after negotiations with a US delegation.

The North Korean deputy foreign minister said Pyongyang intended to “energise” interaction with Moscow in order to advance six-party talks.

Head of the Russian delegation Aleksandr Losyukov confirmed he was happy with the new level of contacts between North Korea and U.S. representatives.

The six-party negotiations are due to restart in February.
