Russia-EU visa agreement approved

An agreement between Russia and the EU that simplifies visa procedures for both sides has been approved by a federal law, signed by the Russian president. The initial Russian-EU agreement was signed in May 2006, in Sochi.

Russia's Lower House of Parliament, the State Duma, passed the law on February 14 this year.

The agreement approved by the law sets new visa fees and time regulations for certain categories, including businessmen, students and participants of international sport events.
